The Will of Archibald Graham
dated 20 April 1798

In the Name of GOD Amen. I Archibald Graham of County the [sic] of Lincoln and state of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament and do devise and bequeath and Dispose of my Estate both Real and personal in the following maner: in the first place I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Margaret Graham during her natural life all my estate both real and personal that is not otherwise disposed of, and at her death to be disposed of in the following manner --

Also I give and bequeath unto my son William Graham all the Moneys due me in the state of Virginia and twenty shillings sterling to him, his heirs, and assigns forever --

Also I give and bequeath unto my son John Graham twenty shillings sterling to him, his heirs, and assigns forever and a Negro Boy named Squier during his natural life and at his death to Arthur's son John his his heirs and assigns forever --

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann merried now to John Long the sum of twenty shillings sterling --

Also I give and bequeath unto Archibald Dillingham the tract of land that I contracted with him for including his improvement to him his heirs and assigns forever --

Also I bequeath unto William Dillingham, Ann Dillingham, Elisabeth Dillingham, Vitch (?) Dillingham and Arthur Dillingham to each of them ten shillings sterling --

Also I give and devise unto my son Archibald Graham the sum of twenty pounds --

I also give and bequeath unto my son Arthur Graham all the remainder of my estate both real and personal and at the death of my wife Margaret my son Arthur Graham the hole and sole heir of all that is left in her hands except what is otherways devised to the property of the said Arthur Graham his heirs and assigns forever and I do appoint my son Arthur Graham and Wallace Alexander Executors to this my last Will and testament and I do revoak all other wills by me made Ratifying and Confirming this ____ only as my last Will and testament in Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of April in this year of our Lord 1798

Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Archibald Graham as his last Will and testament in presence of us
